12" x 15 3/4" and 7 3/4" x 12", about 1" thick, made from your choice of hard maple, walnut, cherry
This matching set of boards was inspired by a gift I brought to a dear friend up in Martha's Vineyard. Great house for entertaining, but had been using a glass cutting board (quel horreur!) for the last few years. I couldn't sit by enjoying his hospitality and let that nonsense continue.
I have strong opinions about cutting boards.
These can accommodate up to two letters via Morse code (actually, sometimes three - let us know what you have in mind, in the pictures, it's an "R").
The larger cutting board is about 16" x 12", maneuverable, and (relatively) light. The smaller board is about 8" x 12" great for a tomato, a lime, or some snacks before dinner. At 1" thick, these boards are thicker than our other small boards (like our Cheese Boards), but thinner than our signature Kentile boards. These boards do not have rubber feet.
You have options for the wood used for the boards and for the stripes - maple, cherry, or walnut. Maple is a rather hard wood, lightest in color, and a traditional wood for cutting boards. Cherry is a bit softer but still great for cutting boards, and over time darkens to have a rich, warm red coloring. Walnut is similar in hardness to cherry, and is just a beautiful wood any way you use it. Maple with walnut stripes shown.
Choose your combination below and note the letters for the monogram.
Each cutting board is custom made, and we generally do these boards near the end of the month in one large batch, so the lead time can be up to about 4 weeks. If need it faster, let us know & we'll do our best to accommodate.
