Pete spoke at the TEDxGowanus conference about urban manufacturing on January 26th, 2014. We believe that manufacturing belongs in modern cities, but on a smaller scale.  Big factories creating low-margin goods for wholesale can't work - the land is too expensive - but smaller workshops creating premium products sold directly to consumers can - and do - work. The key to this is that the products need to be informed by the dynamism and creativity that flows through cities. Click to hear the full talk.
