WP - Monogrammed End-Grain Boards

Samuel Morse's code helped people connect and started conversations.

Dinner should do the same thing.

Made of solid walnut and maple.

About 15" by 19", 2" thick.

Weighs 14lbs.

Handmade in Gowanus, Brooklyn.

Buy kitchen furniture that will last a lifetime.

The narrow stripes are dots, the wide stripes are dashes. Narrow spaces separate dots and dashes, and wide spaces separate letters. At the bottom, the dots and dashes are more distinctive.

The boards are handmade from about 400 pieces of wood. With end-grain boards you cut into the end of the board, rather than across the wood fibers.  It’s like chopping into the end of a very tightly bound paintbrush. This is better for your knives, faster for chopping, and the board doesn’t show marks or chip as readily. Studies show wood is as safe, if not safer, than plastic.
